Gearing up for the 2011 ski season? One category that might be worth spending some bucks on this year is gloves. Manufacturers brought out a raft of new offerings, many with advanced waterproof fabrics like OutDry. Here are three that should get you through this season and a few more:

Columbia Gathering Storm Short Gloves – Columbia employed OutDry technology for waterproofing and Omni-Heat for warmth. These all-synthetic short-style gloves are meant to be worn under the jacket cuff, not over. See review.

Mountain Hardwear Dragons Claw Gloves – Also using OutDry, these leather and nylon gloves have some mean bad-boy looks with articulated fingers, ribbed knuckles and double-lined palm that says “I fear no rope tow.” See review.

Sierra Designs Enforcer Gloves – Sierra Designs uses its own Tropozone membrane to deliver waterproofing and breathability. A tanned and padded palm should stand up to many seasons of wear. See review.

Thanks for reading another outdoor gear review from GearGuide. And thanks to Columbia, Mountain Hardwear, Sierra Designs, and Pale Morning Media for providing product for these reviews. Written by Matt K.
