First Impressions

I see lots of hipster fashion sneakers but the Boutique Sneaks by Cushe (pronounced appropriately “Cushy”) are different. They are good looking shoes that are edgy, feminine and don’t look like they are trying too hard to make a statement. The Boutique Sneaks were absolutely darling out of the box. They come in leather, canvas and nylon versions. And the metallic color of the leather version I tried goes with anything – from exercise pants to jean shorts. After taking them out of the box, I put the Boutique Sneaks on and wore them for a few straight days. These are shoes that can go a long way.

Features

The Boutique Sneaks don’t have specific features per se, because they really don’t call for them. There is a cute little loop on the back of each heel to help with getting them on and off. It’s not really necessary but provides a neat little fashion twist on the shoes.

Flip the shoe over and you are looking at a footprint inside the gel heel. Kinda cool? Absolutely. It’s functional too. The material that the foot pad and sole are made of is firm but spongy at the same time – like nothing I’ve worn before, in a great way.

Fit

I wore the Cushe Boutique Sneaks the first couple times with no socks for a day around town. Usually I would not do this with new sneakers but the Boutique Sneaks didn’t need them. They fit like well worn in shoes out the gate but with structure to feel supported. After the 3rd wear, I tried them with socks and they were equally comfy. The shoes are slightly wider based than an athletic shoe but nothing uncomfortable for my average width size 10 feet. I normally wear size 11 in athletic shoes but these size 10s were perfect for my non-athletic activities. I’m not sure I’d take these shoes to the gym but they’d be more than ok to walk for long days (think: shopping or Disneyland). For those days, I’d probably slip on some socks!

Final Verdict

The Cushe Boutique Sneaks are the new testament that your shoes don’t need to look like Crocs or Birkenstocks to be comfortable. They have more “cool” in one foot’s toe box than some of the most popular comfort shoes around like the ones I mentioned (no offense, as I have owned both of those in my lifetime!).

I would absolutely buy these shoes for myself and for my kids. Cushe, please add a kids shoes to your line, I think they’d make great school shoes for their comfort, fit and quality.
